When we began designing public use furniture, the first pieces we created were for public libraries. Public libraries presented a design challenge that Joe Agati couldn’t resist. The furniture collections had to be more than timeless, long-lasting and functional. Agati furniture also needed to consider the diverse needs of the wide variety of patrons every public library serves. Because they serve many people at once, libraries must be flexible spaces. The environment changes as the needs of the patrons do. Our furniture is designed to do the same.
